Capture your students’ attention and teach better in the age of AI
Today, the biggest challenge for a teacher is no longer transmitting information.
Information is everywhere. Your students can find an explanation on Google, ask ChatGPT or watch a video on TikTok in seconds.
The real challenge is different: making them want to pay attention.
How can a class compete with a phone? How can we help students participate, connect with what they learn and remember it when they leave the classroom?
In this course, you will discover that the answer is not to make classes more entertaining, but to design learning experiences that spark curiosity and make the content meaningful.
Throughout the training, you will learn how to use storytelling, cognitive psychology, neuroscience and artificial intelligence to turn traditional lessons into learning experiences that are more participatory, memorable and easy to apply in any subject.
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Capture your students’ attention from the first minute.
- Design lessons that spark curiosity and keep interest throughout the session.
- Use storytelling as a teaching strategy, beyond simply telling stories.
- Explain complex concepts through relatable analogies and examples.
- Structure your lessons using the Hero’s Journey to create more meaningful learning experiences.
- Adapt your strategies to the way Generation Z and Generation Alpha learn.
- Use tools such as ChatGPT and Gamma to save time and design more dynamic lessons.
This is not a course about learning storytelling theory. It is a course for applying narrative strategies to improve what you already do.
Course programme
Module 1. How to capture attention in the classroom
Discover why capturing attention is one of the biggest challenges in education today and how storytelling can help you turn any content into a memorable learning experience.
We will work on:
- The science behind storytelling and learning.
- How the brain processes stories.
- The attention curve and how to maintain interest throughout the lesson.
- How to spark curiosity before introducing content.
- Storytelling as a teaching strategy, beyond simply telling stories.
- How to design lesson openings that engage from the first minute.
- Practical examples that can be applied to any subject.
Module 2. Design lessons your students remember
Learn how to structure a lesson as a learning experience, using narrative tools that support understanding, participation and memory.
We will work on:
- The Hero’s Journey applied to the classroom.
- How to transform a lesson into a learning experience.
- Story Hooks: how to capture attention in the first 30 seconds.
- How to generate curiosity throughout the session.
- Explaining complex concepts through analogies.
- The Rule of One: how to help students remember the main idea.
- The Netflix Principle: how to end a lesson leaving students wanting to keep learning.
- Practical redesign of one of your own lessons.
Module 3. Teaching new generations
Understand how today’s students learn and discover how to adapt your teaching in a context where artificial intelligence is already part of the classroom.
We will work on:
- How Millennials, Generation Z and Generation Alpha learn.
- What captures the attention of each generation.
- The new role of the teacher in the age of artificial intelligence.
- Active learning strategies for Generation Z and Generation Alpha.
- How to design more relevant, participatory and student-centred lessons.
- How to use ChatGPT to create educational activities and materials.
- How to create visual presentations with Gamma.
- How to write better prompts to get better results from AI.
- Redesigning one of your own lessons using all the tools learned.
