What does our support in Malta cover?

Our team is available to help in critical situations during the mobility, such as medical emergencies, serious accommodation problems or major incidents at the internship.

In a serious medical emergency, we can go with the student to a private hospital if they have medical insurance. If they go to a public hospital, we can help them get there and keep checking on how they are, although we may not always be able to stay with them throughout.

This support gives students safety and peace of mind without taking away their independence in day-to-day tasks, shopping or personal matters.

BEFORE AND DURING THE INTERNSHIP

A good internship starts with the right placement.

We don’t pick companies at random: we look at each student’s profile, check the fit and propose the company to you before anything is confirmed.

IF SOMETHING DOESN’T GO TO PLAN

What if an internship doesn’t work out? We have a protocol.

We look into the situation, talk to everyone involved and, if the change is justified and there is a place available, propose a suitable alternative so the mobility can continue.

    4. Inform the school
  2. 02

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions schools ask before organising internships.

Answers to the questions schools ask most often before starting an Erasmus+ VET mobility.

What English level do students need?

It depends on the company and the tasks each student will do. Before we look for a company, we assess each student’s English to make sure they can cope confidently at work.

How do you choose a company for each student?

We look at the student’s vocational area, profile, English level and learning objectives, and at what the mobility requires. We then find and check companies that can offer a suitable placement and propose them to your school, which makes the final decision.

Do you work with every vocational area?

We work across many vocational areas and look for companies to suit each group’s profile. If you’re not sure whether we can find placements for your course, just ask us.

What happens if a company is not a good fit?

We look at the situation with the student, the company and your school. If there is a good reason and a place available, we follow our procedure to propose a suitable alternative.

Who monitors the internship?

Vivirse monitors the internship together with the student, the company and your school. Our team in Malta is the local contact for any problem that needs our help.

What documents does the school receive?

We give you everything you need for your report: certificates of attendance, the Learning Agreement signed by the host company and the details for Europass Mobility. You complete the final report in the Beneficiary Module yourselves, as the programme requires.

Are accommodation and transfers included?

We can arrange accommodation, airport transfers and other services in Malta. Options and prices depend on each mobility.

How far in advance should we organise the mobility?

We recommend getting in touch well in advance, so we have time to assess profiles, dates and project requirements, and more options when looking for companies.
